'Estuary' 

The film is based on a mystery story told by the landlady of the legendary pub 'Lobster's Smack' on Canvey Island at Thames Estuary. The story was recorded on audio embedded in the film.

According to some sources, 'Lobster's Smack' is mentioned in Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations" and was a place where smugglers operated in the past.
