Posters for Royal Opera House
Entry of the YCN curated competition. As part of the competition Royal Opera House asked to create a Royal Ballet advertising campaign, which would address the young audience of the 18-30 years olds and attract them to seeing ballet performances.
With my work I aimed at adding a modern angle to the perception of the classic art form of ballet. To achieve this four subsequent posters depict a mystical, casually dressed ballet dancer in the movement. In order to communicate the idea on a deeper level an excerpt from the poem by Darren White was chosen to support the images. Photography and text combination connects poetry and ballet into a united visual experience showing strength, faith and dynamics of the ballet. Posters were created for placing in public spaces. The animated GIF is designed for websites and social media.
