ROYAL OPERA HOUSE POSTERS AND ANIMATION

Entry of the YCN curated competition. As part of the competition, the Royal Opera House asked to create a Royal Ballet advertising campaign that would address the young audience of 18-30 years olds and attract them to attend ballet performances.

With my work, I aimed at positioning ballet as an art form relevant for young audiences. Also, I wanted to show the strength, faith and dynamics ballet requires from a dancer. To achieve this, I created four subsequent posters, which depict a mystical, casually dressed ballet dancer in the movement. In order to enhance the impact of the images and communicate the idea on a deeper level, an excerpt from the poem by a young ex ballet dancer, Darren White, was chosen. Posters were created for display in public spaces. GIF animation designed for websites and social media.
